Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller — Who We Are

Slidix ("Slidix", "we", "our", or "us") operates the website slidix.co and the Slidix AI slideshow generator service (the "Service"). Slidix is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR).

For any privacy-related question or to exercise your rights, contact us at plexytuner@gmail.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data: when you create an account or sign in (including via Google), we receive your email address, name, and profile picture. We use this to create and manage your account.
  • Content you provide: product URLs you paste for analysis, project names, features, taglines, brand colors, and any other data you enter to generate slideshows.
  • Uploaded files: images or screenshots you upload (e.g. logos or CTA images) to include in generated slides.
  • Generated content: the slides, copy, and assets the Service produces for you, which we store so you can access your projects.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, approximate location derived from IP, and similar metadata.
  • Usage logs: records of which features you use, requests made, and error/diagnostic logs, used for security, debugging and improving the Service.
  • Cookie and local-storage data: identifiers needed for authentication and to remember your preferences (see Section 11).
  • Billing data: if you purchase a plan or credits, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details; we receive limited billing metadata (e.g. plan, status, last 4 digits, country) but never your full card number.
  • Third-party authentication and integration data: data we receive when you connect external accounts (see Sections 5 and 3 for TikTok).

3. TikTok Integration Data

If you choose to connect your TikTok account, we use TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API. With your explicit authorization, we receive and process: your TikTok basic profile (open ID, display name, avatar) and, where granted, profile and account statistics, plus permission to publish content on your behalf (video.publish scope).

We use this data solely to (a) show which TikTok account is connected and (b) publish a slideshow to TikTok only when you explicitly start that action in the app. Slidix does not post anything to TikTok automatically or in the background. You can disconnect your TikTok account at any time, after which we stop using the associated tokens and delete them within our normal retention window. Your use of TikTok is also governed by TikTok's own privacy policy and terms.

4. How We Use Your Information

We process your data to:

  • provide and operate the Service (scrape product URLs, generate AI slides, store and display your projects, and publish to connected platforms when you ask us to);
  • authenticate you and manage your account and subscription;
  • process payments and prevent payment fraud;
  • respond to support requests and communicate service-related notices;
  • maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
  • improve, debug and develop the Service;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to provide the Service you sign up for.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to secure the Service, prevent abuse and fraud, and improve our product, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for non-essential cookies/analytics and for optional integrations such as TikTok. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — to comply with tax, accounting and other legal requirements.

6. How We Process Data

Data is processed using automated systems (our application servers and the sub-processors listed below) and, where necessary, by authorized personnel under confidentiality obligations. Generating slides involves sending the content you provide to AI providers to produce copy and images.

7. Third-Party Providers (Sub-processors)

We rely on the following processors to operate the Service:

8. International Data Transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the EEA/UK, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where applicable) or an adequacy decision. You can contact us for more information about these safeguards.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain certain data to comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax and accounting records) or to resolve disputes. Aggregated or anonymized data that no longer identifies you may be retained.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the relevant authorities of any breach as required by law.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage for authentication and to remember your preferences. Where we use any non-essential cookies or analytics, we ask for your consent first and you can change your choice at any time. You can also control cookies in your browser, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using the Service.

12. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access: obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Rectification: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • Erasure: request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten");
  • Restriction: request that we restrict processing in certain circumstances;
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time;
  • Lodge a complaint: with your local data protection supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at plexytuner@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. California residents: we do not sell personal information and you may have additional rights under the CCPA — contact us for details.

13. Children

Slidix is not intended for, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from, individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. For material changes we may notify you by email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
